Available campuses to study abroad at as an extenal student for 5 weeks or longer, are Antwerp, Barcelona, Brussels, Madrid, Milan, Tokyo, and Zurich.

Plan your courses

Earn 10 European credits

  • Stay for any 1 quarter and complete 10 credits / 2 courses.

Earn 15 European credits (10 American semester credits)

  • Stay for any 1 quarter and complete 15 credits / 3 courses.

Earn 20 European credits (13.3 American semester credits)

  • Stay for any 1 or more quarters and complete 20 credits / 4 courses.

Earn 30 European credits (20 American semester credits)

  • Stay for any 2 quarters and complete 30 credits / 6 courses.

Maximum credits per quarter

  • Fall quarter: 20
  • Winter quarter: 20
  • Spring quarter: 20
  • Summer quarter Term A: 10
  • Summer quarter Term B: 10

Only during the Summer Quarter are courses organized intensively either in Term A or in Term B. During all other quarters, courses are organized across both Term A and Term B. Course availability may be limited at one or more of the campuses listed above.

Suggested Quarter combinations for 30 credits

  • Spring Quarter (20) + Summer Quarter Term A (10)
  • Summer Quarter Term B (10) + Fall Quarter (20)
  • any quarter (20) + Research Project (5) + Online course (5)

Starting dates

Starting dates are indicated in the academic calendar, and depend on the combination of quarters and terms for each student individually.

Application deadlines

Students are recommended to apply no later than 1 month before the intended starting date, and 3 months in case a student visa is required. Refer to our visa guidelines for further details.

Special conditions

50% scholarships are available for exchange students upon showing a certificate of enrollment from their home institution.

Confirm your program
